Financial Aid

MES Fund

The Margaret Elizabeth Stephenson Fund, Inc. (MES Fund, Inc.) is the first financial aid fund established to benefit AMI teacher trainees exclusively. With the establishment of this fund, AMI/USA hopes to ensure that qualified individuals seeking AMI training will not be excluded due to their financial circumstances.

Guidelines

  • Prospective students who plan to attend an AMI training center in the United States may apply for financial aid from the MES Fund, Inc.
  • Awards are based on need.
  • Priority is given to individuals who hold a college degree, those who have worked in an AMI school, and those who plan to teach in an AMI school in the U.S. following their training.
  • Students who have already begun course study are not eligible to apply.

MES Fund, Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin in administration policies, financial aid programs, or any other administered programs.

Applying

The MES Fund, Inc. application has two parts:

  • Complete an MES application either hard copy or through our secure online form, to be submitted directly to the MES Fund, c/o AMI/USA.
  • Finish an online CSS Financial Aid Profile through the College Board (MES Fund, Inc. College Board ID Code is 0186).

The deadline to complete both steps of the application is May 1st of the same year coursework begins. Applicants must enroll in the AMI training center of their choice no later than May 1st of the same year coursework begins as a condition for MES Fund consideration. Training center enrollment is confirmed as part of the application process.
