Head of School

LePort Montessori (www.leportschools.com) is seeking a positive, passionate leader to take the Head of School role at a new campus with infant, toddler, and primary Montessori classrooms. The new campus will be an existing child care center that LePort will be renovating and converting into an authentic Montessori school to open fall 2013 (including hiring AMI trained Montessori teachers, equipping classrooms with the full range of state-of-the-art Montessori materials, restructuring the program for consistency with Montessori, etc.)

The ideal candidate will possess: (1) significant Montessori teaching experience with a deep understanding & love of the Montessori approach, (2) experience in private school administration or comparable business/administrative ability, (3) some form of managerial experience, (4) excellent verbal and written communication skills, and (5) a positive, energetic, problem-solving mentality.
