Middle School Spanish/ESL Teacher
Denver Montessori Junior/Senior High School (DMHS) is a new, DPS public urban farm school located in the heart of Denver, CO. We will open next year (2013) with 50 primarily 7th grade students that will be coming from the DPS Montessori elementary schools. We will grow one grade per year though 12th grade. Principal Katy Myers is Montessori trained and has 12 years experience in Montessori adolescent education.
Qualifications: Montessori training (please indicate training level on resume), highly qualified in Elementary Education or Spanish as defined by NCLB, Colorado licensure or willingness to attend an alternative licensure program. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to work in a public urban environment to create a world class Montessori public secondary program. Farm or permaculture experience and/or additional certification in English or Humanities is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of third plane characteristics along with experience working with younger adolescents.
