Greta Collins

Greta Nagel Collins is a Montessori educator with lifelong roots in the AMI community. She holds a BA in English Literature from Northwestern University, an MEd from Loyola University Maryland, and her AMI Primary diploma from Washington Montessori Institute. Greta is in her 9th year as a Primary guide; she currently teaches at West Suburban Montessori School in Oak Park, IL, where she has been appointed as the incoming Head of School beginning in the fall of 2026. She is passionate about using her background in English Literature to educate families in her community about the benefits of AMI Montessori. She lives in River Forest with her husband, two young daughters, and three rescue cats. When she’s not at work, Greta loves to read to her daughters, go for walks with her family, and practice her ukulele.
