Sheri Bishop is the Human Rights and Social Justice (HRSJ) Advisor with AMI/USA. She brings a service-oriented approach to leadership that emphasizes listening, collaboration, stewardship, and creating opportunities for others to contribute and grow. Her work supports initiatives related to human rights, equity, belonging, educational inclusion, professional learning, organizational writings and position statements, and educational resource development. She works closely with member volunteers serving on the HRSJ Advisory Council and HRSJ Board Committee.

Sheri holds AMI Montessori diplomas at the Primary and Elementary levels and earned a master’s degree in education from Loyola University in Baltimore. As an independent consultant, she has developed and facilitated professional learning for Montessori guides, administrators, teacher candidates, training center faculty and staff, Board members, and parents.

Before transitioning to Montessori education, Sheri worked as a Registered Dietitian in clinical, administrative, and healthcare analytics roles, including pediatric and neonatal nutrition support, hospital decision-support analysis, and school nutrition services leadership. Her Montessori journey began with the experiences of her two sons, whose Montessori education from early childhood through middle school inspired her interest and subsequent work in Montessori education.
