AMI/USA is excited to call for proposals for The 2027 Montessori Experience: Refresher Courses And More! Proposal acceptance for the following topics will begin March 18, 2026 and close April 10, 2026.
Administrative Workshop
The presenter will offer a 12 hours course over 1.5 days on Saturday February 13, 2026, 8:30am -5:00pm (7 content hours) and Sunday, February 14, 2026, 8:30am-1:30 pm
(5 content hours). A highly interactive format that includes group activities and an opportunity for participants to collaborate will make this a stimulating workshop. Potential presenters should possess at least five years experience as an administrator in a Montessori school, as an administrator/instructor in a teacher education program, or as a Montessori leader in an educational arena. The potential speaker should possess related professional credentials and be able to clearly articulate experience and expertise related to the proposed topic.
Human Rights and Social Justice Workshop
This presenter will offer 2.5 hours of content. This workshop will be presented during a morning session and the same content will be repeated during an afternoon session on Friday, February 12, 2026. The potential speaker must have experience as a presenter at a larger event such as a regional or national conference and possess a combination of subject matter expertise, lived experience, and strong, engaging communication and storytelling skills to inspire, educate, and motivate participants to grow toward tomorrow. An interactive format that includes group activities or an opportunity for participants to collaborate should be a part of the workshop.
The Prepared Adult: Social Emotional Wellness Workshop
This presenter will offer 6 hours of content. This workshop will be presented during two 3-hour afternoon sessions on Saturday February 13 and Sunday February 14, 2026. The potential speaker must have experience as a presenter at a larger event such as a regional conference or national conference and knowledge of Montessori pedagogy and methods. An interactive format that includes group activities or an opportunity for participants to collaborate should be a part of the workshop. Presenters with Licensed Clinical Social Worker( LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC) credentials will be given preferred consideration.
Research Presentations/Poster Presentations
Three Montessorian researchers will be selected to present 45-minute presentations along with their corresponding posters. Each speaker will present the same topic in the morning and in the
afternoon on Friday, February 13, 2026. Presenters should possess a postgraduate degree and/or be supervised by a faculty advisor in a university setting, and have experience conducting and presenting research in a professional environment. AMI/USA Research Poster Requirements
Proposal Submission Guidelines
Written Proposals
Effective proposal descriptions are about 250-300 words. Please include an outline of the presentation or workshop, clear content objectives, learning goals, expected participant outcomes, and methods that will be used to elicit audience interaction(s) and collaboration. If possible, please share how the content aligns with the conference theme. Prior to submissions we ask that potential presenters appreciate the AMI/USA Recommended Equity Tools and Considerations. Team presenters can submit one proposal, however, one speaker must possess all the qualifications outlined. All forms of AMI/USA compensation will be shared amongst the team.
Biography and Professional Picture
Presenter education and training credentials, including primary work relationship, and the extent of subject matter expertise may be outlined in a separate 75-100 word professional biography.

Presentations may be recorded and offered at cost to AMI/USA Members after the conference. Please indicate if a video of your presentation can/or cannot be shared at a later date.
Proposal Review and Selection
Proposals will be reviewed by peers and staff that will first consider the aforementioned requirements, then use the NACADA Proposal Rating Rubic.

Selected Presenters will be notified the week of April 20, 2026
Presenter contract agreements will be finalized by April, 26 2026
