MNW | Tiny Steps, Big Trust Series: The Heart of the Matter

MNW | Tiny Steps, Big Trust Series: The Heart of the Matter

This session focuses on the essential emotional work involved in supporting unique personalities simultaneously through the practice of responsive caregiving. Participants will explore techniques for co-regulation, discovering how a teacher's intentional breathing and soothing tone can effectively de-escalate a crying group and restore a sense of collective peace. We will examine ways to decode the various needs of infants and toddlers, providing a framework for prioritizing care during busy moments when multiple children require attention at once. By identifying opportunities for meaningful one-on-one micro-moments within the larger group setting, caregivers can ensure that every child feels seen and safe while building a deep sense of security and belonging for every learner.
