Dr. Nicole-Noelle Evans is an accomplished educational leader with more than 28 years of experience transforming schools, organizations, and learning communities. Her career has spanned roles as a teacher, assistant principal, principal of a public Montessori Anti-Bias Anti-Racist (ABAR) school, and Executive Director of Urban Education at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in St. Louis, Missouri. She currently serves as Senior Director of Leadership with Embracing Equity.

A recognized national leader in equity-centered leadership development, Dr. Evans designs and facilitates year-long Leadership Residency programs that support leaders in creating more inclusive, equitable, and thriving learning environments. Through coaching, professional learning, and organizational development, she partners with educators and leaders across the country to advance transformational change for adults and students alike.

Dr. Evans has been an active contributor to the Montessori community for many years. Her work includes supporting the development of Montessori for Social Justice, serving as a keynote speaker at national and regional Montessori conferences, including Montessori for Social Justice, Wisconsin Montessori Association, St. Catherine University, and conferences affiliated with both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI/USA). She has also guided numerous Montessori schools through year-long leadership development and equity initiatives.

Her leadership and advocacy have earned widespread recognition. Dr. Evans was named a Power 100 honoree by Delux Magazine and received the Women Who Inspire Award for her contributions to education and community leadership. She was also featured by Humans of St. Louis for her work addressing educational inequities and advancing opportunities for historically marginalized students and communities.

Dr. Evans holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and has dedicated her career to advancing equity, belonging, and excellence in education. Grounded in a lifelong commitment to service and inspired by her father's work as an educator, she continues to help leaders build systems and cultures where all children and adults can thrive.

Elevating the Human Spirit: Reciprocity, Reconciliation, and the Revitalization of Our Cosmic Work

As Montessori educators, leaders, and changemakers, we are called not only to prepare environments, but to prepare ourselves. This closing plenary invites participants into a reflective and aspirational exploration of the spiritual and practical work of the adult through the interconnected lenses of reciprocity, reconciliation, and revitalization.

Together, we will examine how the prepared adult contributes to the elevation of human potential, embraces personal and collective transformation, transcends division and limitation, and participates in the ongoing liberation of individuals and communities. Drawing from Montessori's vision of Cosmic Education and Cosmic Task, this session challenges us to consider how our daily practices, relationships, and commitments shape the future we hope to create.

Through reflection, storytelling, and collective meaning-making, participants will leave renewed in purpose, grounded in community, and inspired to carry forward the work of dignity, belonging, peace, and human flourishing.

Because the future is not something we inherit—it is something we help create through our presence, practice, and aspiration.
