Megan Lisagor-Trezise, M.Ed., is an AMI Primary Teacher Trainer, instructional designer, and founder of Enroll & Shine, a consultancy that helps Montessori and independent schools strengthen their visibility, build trust with prospective families, and support sustainable enrollment growth.

She holds master's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Educational Technology & Instructional Design and has trained Montessori educators across three continents. Megan's area of specialization is supporting neurodivergent learners within the context of the Montessori prepared environment, helping educators create inclusive learning experiences while maintaining fidelity to Montessori principles.

After many years teaching in both private and public Montessori settings, Megan developed a deep commitment to expanding access to high-quality early childhood education. Her experiences working with diverse learners helped shape her interest in inclusive Montessori practice and ultimately led to her specialization in supporting neurodivergent learners.

As a Montessori instructional coach and teacher leader, she has guided teams of educators, designed professional development programs, and helped schools strengthen instructional practice and student outcomes. Her experience includes developing intervention systems, analyzing student data, and creating strategies that help children thrive academically, socially, and behaviorally.

Megan has contributed to education reform initiatives, designed innovative hybrid teacher-training models that expand access to Montessori education, and developed professional learning experiences for hundreds of educators nationally. Through her work as a trainer, consultant, and instructional designer, she helps educators and school leaders create effective, inclusive learning environments that support both children and the adults who serve them.

A Montessori Assistant's Guide to Understanding Sensory Integration Differences

Children with sensory integration differences often communicate their needs through behavior. What may appear to be inattention, impulsivity, emotional reactions, difficulty with transitions, or challenges with peer interactions may have underlying sensory influences.

Designed specifically for Montessori classroom assistants working with children ages 3–6 and Elementary, this interactive session explores how sensory integration differences can impact a child's experience in the classroom. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of sensory processing, learn to recognize common behavioral patterns associated with sensory needs, and reflect on how the Montessori prepared environment can support children's development and self-regulation.

Through discussion, case examples, and collaborative reflection, assistants will explore practical ways to support children while strengthening their observation skills and understanding of behavior. The session will also highlight the important role assistants play in fostering consistency, connection, and a sense of belonging for every child.
